RADIOHEAD ANNONCERER HAIL TO THE THIEF LIVEALBUM

I dag kan Radiohead annoncere Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003-2009 – et nyt livealbum, der lader bandet genbesøge og re-evaluere deres forhold til bandets deres sjette studiealbum, Hail To The Thief.
Bandet har i samme ombæring delt en video af deres liveoptræden med ’There, There’ fra en optræden i Buenos Aires. Se videoen her.
 
Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003-2009 er ude nu digitalt og vil være tilgængelig på et limiteret one-off tryk på vinyl d. 31. oktober via XL Recordings / Playground Music.
Albummet består af liveindspilninger af sange optaget i London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires og Dublin mellem 2003 og 2009. Albummet er mixet af Ben Baptie og mastereret af Matt Colton.
 
Om livealbummet fortæller Thom Yorke:
“In the process of thinking of how to build arrangements for the Shakespeare Hamlet/Hail To The Thief theatre production, I asked to hear some archive live recordings of the songs. I was shocked by the kind of energy behind the way we played. I barely recognised us, and it helped me find a way forward. We decided to get these live recordings mixed and released (it would have been insane to keep them for ourselves). It has all been a very cathartic process. We very much hope you enjoy them.”
 
Thom Yorke har for nylig været med til at skabe den anmelderroste Hamlet Hail to the Thief – en bearbejdelse af Shakspeares Hamlet, hvis soundtrack indeholder dekonstruerede sange fra Hail to the Thief fra 2003. The Rolling Stone UK skrev om den nye produktion:
“The biggest testament to Yorke and his co-writers that these worlds collide so seamlessly, as if they were always meant to be together.”
